Although Baltimore County has posted extensive information online, and has received awards for their use of IT to benefit citizens, for some inexplicable reason, much of the information is removed from online after a couple years. While some immediately think that the County's computers are running out of space, this is not true, due to a phenomenon known as "Moore's Law", which says that computing power and storage space doubles every 1 1/2 years. Most of the data that is being removed is PDF files, which take up very little space anyway. For example, all of the files listed below for 4 years take about the same space as one photo that Code Enforcement has recently posting for an illegal sign which they then failed to file a citation against anyway.
